The Long Island Daylily Society will be hosting the 2019 Region 4 Meeting July 19 - 20, 2019 at the Hilton Long Island/ Huntington, in Melville, NY.  It's prime daylily season, so come and enjoy daylilies and other perennials in four fabulous tour gardens.

Your registration includes the Saturday bus tour and four meals: Friday buffet dinner, Saturday grab and go breakfast, Saturday lunch at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay, NY, and Saturday evening sit down banquet and program presented by Gil Stelter of Gryphon Gardens, Guelph, Ontario.
  
Gardens on Saturday's Bus Tour


Joan Lundin: Setauket, NY
An imaginative daylily garden, secluded in nature and complemented by a diverse collection of perennials, interspersed among rocks, the core of Long Island's north shore, garden art and fairy gardens.

Pat Sayers:  Huntington, NY
A delightful hybridizer’s garden where you’ll get to see many of Pat’s introductions as well as numerous perennials set in artistic vignettes.

Chris Petersen:   Northport, NY
A peaceful seaside garden with an eclectic mix of daylilies, shrubs, grasses, annuals, hosta and other perennials arranged in an array of settings.

Planting Fields Arboretum: Oyster Bay, NY
An amazing conservatory and arboretum that hosts the LIDS AHS Display Garden and the Saxton Seedling bed. This garden is also our lunch stop.
 
Open Gardens

The gardens of Elliot, Rachel and Dave Turkiew, Paul Limmer, Buck Bucklin, John and Muriel Stahl, Mary Kay Denman and the tour gardens
will be open on Thursday, Friday and/or Sunday! See the LIDS’ website for descriptions and pictures.

Fun Activities

The daylily auction to benefit Region 4 will be held on Friday evening. Credit cards will be accepted. Shop our Bargain Table, Silent Auction, and Country Auction on Friday and Saturday afternoons.

Region 4 members, please consider donating raffle items, baskets, and daylilies for the auction and/or bargain table! We need your help to make this meeting a success!

Garden Judges Workshop 2

There will be a Judge's Workshop 2 on Sunday morning, July 21st at Paul Limmer’s garden in East Northport.

Come celebrate daylilies with us on July 19-20. Arrive early and explore the world famous beaches, golf courses, museums and arboretums that Long Island and NYC have to offer.

Visit with old friends and make new friends while we all have “Fun in the Sun” on Long Island—you won’t want to miss it!

The Long Island Daylily Society (LIDS) invites you to join us Friday, July 19 through Saturday, July 20, in Long Island, New York, for the 2019 AHS Region Four Meeting. Our guest speaker is hybridizer Gil Stelter owner of Gryphon Gardens in Guelph, Ontario. Gryphon Gardens was an AHS Region Four tour garden in 2011. Gil will present his program on Saturday evening following the banquet and business meeting.
